The Wal-Mart story below reminded me of the most charming pickup line ever used on me. I was out of town, and had to go to the grocery store for some things for me and my friends. As I walked around the aisles picking up items on my list, a man fell into step next to me, leaned over and said “What’s next on the list, honey?”
Without missing a beat, I said “we need diapers, can you grab a pack?”
He laughed and followed me into the next aisle. He proceeded to invite me out to a club that night, an invitation I declined on the basis of my marriage. He then very nobly said “your husband is a lucky man”, gave me a broad smile and a wink, and walked away.
In a different time in my life, that line would have worked like a charm. Love a man with a great sense of humor and fun.
