The trouble with the way we love people is that we have all these expectations connected to it.
A book is. A tree is. A pet is. You love them and your happy with that love without anything further.
It is not the love that fails us, it is the expectations. We give up on love, when what we should be giving up on is the expectations.
Love is always a gift, it is THE gift.
ahhhhh… now wouldn’t THAT be something! My life is one baby step after another toward that. Each one hard earned, but worth it.
